Peening the small pins on inside of the liners first. Once that is good, the liner is layed inside-down on the marble block below the cutlers steady seen here. There is sandpaper taped to the top of it and it is dead flat and used, in this case, to sand off any high spots and re-flatten the inside of the liner.
