Lanyard Tube Installation/ltube1.jpg

Aluminum jaws are good for various tasks around the knife shop. Here, a hole is drilled in the left jaw on the outside edge and will be used to hold the left, 45-degree tube spinner. These "spinners" were machined to be chucked in a drill press with an opposing one clamped in a vice (to act as an anvil) to "spin" the flare on lanyard tubes. Tony has found that this process of using the bench vise works better and is simpler than spinning them with the drill press.
